Managed Services

Whose business is it anyway?

In the past Managed Services could only be provided by the larger players in the IT Industry. This was because it required scale to be able to make a profit, and the larger players were able to use standardised infrastructure, and packaging staff across many sites.

Today, the hardware and communications costs are virtually a commodity, all mature OS and application companies distribute ready packaged versions, and labor costs to fine tune packages are no longer a specialty domain. To combine these attributes into an attractive offering is easily achievable for technically and business astute consultants.

Q: But why use emorphus? why not stick with a tier one provider?

A: Price. We don't have an American headquarters and shareholders to support. We don’t have to recoup sunk costs in dated technology, processes and people.

A: Service. Tier one providers will give you their standard offering and you will then be calling the same call center as everyone else, so the technician doesn't actually understand your business. Or culture. Or way of doing things. By using a tier two provider we adopt your way of doing business, rather than asking you to change the way you successfully operate.

A: Plus, let’s be frank, you can’t push around the tier one providers. They have standard contract clauses with weasel words in 6pt type-font in white-on-white. We believe in plain English contracts which contain scenarios and are fair.
